Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Develop overall Project Schedule to ensure all departments including Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Quality Control complete action items by scheduled dates.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Coordinate permitting, certificates of insurance and all other project requirements
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Maintain various tracking logs.
- Generate and track Purchase Orders, subcontracts, and other project management functions as required.
- Maintain project documents.
- Coordinate activities from bid to proposal and assist with bid preparation.
- Work closely with superintendents and accounting department.
- Prepare and issue change orders.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
- Process Submittals and RFI's.
- Prepare close-out documentation for projects.
- Prepares project status reports.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Interact daily with superintendents and project managers to support their needs and requirements.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Other assigned duties as required.
Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or related field.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of Construction related experience in Commercial Buildings and Hotels.
- Advanced MS Office, MS Projects and Procore skills.
- Good communication, writing, and organizational skills required.
- Valid CA Driver License
- Knowledge of construction, paving, underground, concrete, pipeline, mechanical and grading preferred
