JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Residential Services (DRS), the SSR Program Coordinator (PC) will oversee the daily operations for Stephen Saunders Residence (SSR) and the provision of supportive and intensive case management for residents of Stephen Saunders Residence. Stephen Saunders Residence is a HUD funded Permanent Housing (PH) project and is a community-based housing model, the purpose of which is to provide housing without a designated length of stay. Program participants must be a tenant on a lease for a term of at least one year (renewable and terminable only for cause). The Program Coordinator will conduct assessments, determine eligibility, develop individualized case plans, link residents with resources, conduct Apartment visits / inspections and provide case management services in conjunction with community partner agencies. They must have full working knowledge of all HUD Permanent Housing and HOME regulations and guidelines as well as Agency policy and procedures. Must be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the residents which will include some evenings and weekends. Additional hours may be required to meet program deadlines or resident needs.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service related field; with 2-3 years Human Service experience preferred; 1 year supervisor experience preferred
2. Integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed with demonstrated passion for HONOR’s mission.
3. Detail-oriented and have competent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities (friendly, courteous, helpful, ability to work as part of a team).
4. Ability to work well with persons of varied sexual preference, racial, ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds, and with individuals who are differently abled. Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people.
5. Ability to deliver services to those in need with compassion, clear boundaries, and good communication skills.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
7. Bi-lingual preferred
8. Valid New York State driver’s license
