Audio-Visual Design Engineer Estimator

Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Design Engineer Estimator to create, design, estimate, propose, and deliver innovative AV systems for our customers. The AV Design Engineer will work with our sales team and project managers to take complex AV designs from start to finish. This position will work mostly with our RFP department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in discovery meetings with the sales department and conduct project site surveys to determine, document, and design customer solutions.
- Review construction plans, perform take-offs, and material specifications to compose BOMs and bid responses.
- Estimate and prepare proposals and designs for audio visual systems integrations and installations.
- Produce advanced audio-visual designs including control flow diagrams, video, and audio components.
- Communicate and coordinate technical design solutions with clients, installation teams, and vendors.
- Provide sales and technical staff with support on both a pre- and post-sales basis.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of overall audio-visual commercial integration industry experience designing and estimating projects.
- Experience and knowledge with major commercial AV equipment such as AMX, Barco, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, JBL, Shure, QSC, distributed music and video systems, and networking.
- CTS and CTS-D certifications a plus.
- Certifications from manufacturers such as AMX, Crestron, Extron, Cisco, Polycom, Biamp, or others are also a plus.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Highly organized and ability to keep consistent workflow moving through estimating department.
- Ability to build rapports with teammates, clients,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to write a scope of work and finalize a system deployment and buildout.
- Must pass a required background check and preemployment drug screening.
