Job Summary:
The Manager of Cybersecurity will work in a growing team environment to address the technology information security and control needs for Abacus Group and its customers. The Abacus Cybersecurity team focuses on overall information security for the core business and for our customers. This position will be responsible for supporting the team on a wide variety of information security objectives related to security operations center (SOC), risk, compliance, vulnerability management, and incident response.
The ideal candidate will have excellent documentation and communication skills and be comfortable working with cross-organization teams and customers. We are looking for someone who is customer focused and results oriented with the ability to manage staff and coordinate with other managers while effectively prioritizing work and providing services accurately with a sense of urgency.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Cybersecurity to manage operational information security in a 24x7 live production environment.
- Management of SOC and Security Analysts, including escalation handling.
- Support the design, deployment, and use of security related reporting tools and management systems.
- Assist with information security risk assessments, and reports to identify, assess, measure, and monitor associated risks.
- Liaise with internal employees throughout the organization and customers as necessary on information security matters such as emerging security risks and control technologies.
- Enforce and adapt information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines in partnership with the business.
- Supporting the incident response investigation and architecture of review processes.
- Assist, support, and maintain the vulnerability management and security questionnaire processes.
- Independently or as part of a team analyze business technical and functional requirements and develop work tasks and complex project plans to meet business objectives.
- Effectively communicate with business stakeholders and IT leadership to ensure project success.
- Participate in on-call and off-hours support activities which are typical for the role and industry.
- Support the development, documentation, and delivery of training and user guidance to ensure consistent and effective implementation of information security objectives.
- Assist with ISO 2700X, SOC and NIST certifications – domestic and international.
Skills:
- Ability to navigate and utilize a ticketing system.
- Ability to work under pressure, in a high-paced environment and with short deadlines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field) or Equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' Information Security experience or equivalent experience in Information Risk Management.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an MSP or financial services environment.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working directly with SIEM, vulnerability management, and EDR technologies.
- Must be certified in one or more of the following: CISSP, CISM, or similar industry certification(s).
- Ability to commute to office in a hybrid fashion

Salary DOE: 125-150k
