Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Develop opportunities with new client projects.
- Identify potential customers, make cold calls, and convert prospects into sales.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts while establishing new client relationships.
- Develop and lead client relationship management strategies.
- Execute growth strategies, including client outreach, industry participation, and proposal development.
- Assist in the contract negotiation process.
Project Management:
- Oversee commercial and medical construction projects from conception to completion.
- Manage construction documents, provide field oversight, and ensure health and safety compliance.
- Handle project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Conduct field inspections, manage craft and trades, and update project drawings and specifications.
- Ensure project quality control and coordinate with the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage start-up and pre-testing of mechanical and electrical systems, and support third-party commissioning activities.
- Develop and manage the project closeout process and documentation.
Estimating:
- Prepare detailed project estimates and takeoff packages.
- Solicit vendor and subcontractor input and verify their capabilities.
- Develop alternative solutions and identify areas of concern.
- Create project schedules and bid packages.
- Conduct qualified bidder interviews and manage project turnovers.
Experience/Skills:

Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is preferred.
- 15 years of experience in commercial construction, including work with a general contractor or in medical/hospital construction.
- Previous sales and business development experience.
- Experience in estimating and project management on commercial job sites.
- Proficiency in sector/project-specific software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, ProCore, BlueBeam, JD Edwards, ISQFT, OneTeam, CAD, Sage Intacct, and SolidWorks.
