Position Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Technician position is responsible for verifying and logging all in-bound and out-bound goods, being aware of customer preferences for loading procedures, PTS company unloading procedures and moving product throughout the plant. Hours would be 1 pm to 9:30 pm.

Safety and Environment Responsibility

Duties (include but are not limited to):

Using reference material, be able to identify all parts, verify part numbers, and production numbers
-
Verify and log all in bound and out bound goods
-
Document discrepancies, overages, and shortages
-
Be aware of customer preferences for loading procedures
-
Ensure that all checklists required are completed
-
Communicate to the team leader/coordinator any changes in procedures so that operation standards can be adjusted
-
Prepare area for the next shift
-
Participate in the 5S Program
-
Move product throughout the plant including the loading and unloading of trucks
-
Input data into the computer daily
-
Band and stretch wrap product as needed
-
Placing loads into the ASRS. Track locations, troubleshoot error’s and fix problems that arise

Perform daily forklift PMs
-
Communicate well with all departments. Work together to make sure shipments are completed on time

Organize warehouse/work area for cleanliness and safety
-
Rec and deliver UPS/Fed Ex packages as well as setting up/Preparing outgoing UPS/Fed Ex shipments

Know the required labels and tagging in receiving or know the piece count and shrink wrap requirements as well as preparing paperwork.

Using the PTS software system to prepare shippers for outgoing product and to input information for incoming product

Perform and train completion of preventative maintenance

C grade- (Process), ideal attendance points <4

This grade represents a trained associate who can work in one area (Shipping or Receiving)

Receive or Ship product using software system

Follow all shipping or receiving instructions

D grade- (Learn), ideal attendance points <4

Show the ability to learn the shipping and receiving daily task

Show the ability to train on customer required software
