Imagine Early Learning Centers seeks an Early Childhood Education Director for our Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn childcare center. Our centers are full day educational child care centers serving children 2 months to 5 years-old. In addition, our centers are safe, nurturing, fun and friendly.
Experienced educator and administrator needed with the ability to interface with staff, families, colleagues and the community. Experience with Developmentally Appropriate Practice including knowledge of NAEYC standards required. Directors with experience running DOE PKA programs are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include:

Participate in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum

Ensure compliance with licensing and NAEYC guidelines

Effective communication with families, staff and board

Effective written communication skills

Ability to meet physical requirements of position which include lifting children, pushing strollers/buggies, sitting on the floor and year-round daily outdoor activities

Qualifications

Master's degree and New York State Teacher Certification in (B-2) Early Childhood Education, Elementary or Special Education required

Minimum 2 years experience as an Early Childhood program administrator.

Minimum 5 years experience as an Early Childhood program teacher.

Previous experience with NAEYC accreditation is a plus.
