Davidson is on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Junior to Mid-level Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This pivotal role is part of an innovative product development program aligned with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The selected candidate will contribute to the advancement of Modeling & Simulations (M&S) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, enhancing capabilities within the wargaming community. We pride ourselves on a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams, comprising experts in M&S, Optimization, and AI/Data Analytics, push the boundaries of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct Modeling & Simulation activities focusing on trajectory optimization, threat modeling, and wargaming scenario development.
- Implement sophisticated algorithms within our software products.
- Engage in experimental projects to explore new theories, ideas, and concepts.
- Actively participate in an Agile development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment.
- Facilitate design discussions and collaborate effectively with team members to refine project requirements.
- Employ effective communication skills to articulate ideas and collaborate through both verbal and visual methods.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-5 years of experience in diverse modeling and simulation development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and C#.
- Familiarity with modeling, simulation, and mission analysis.
- Experience implementing engineering algorithms in software.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on product requirements
Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies
- Familiar in threat trajectory modeling and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning algorithms.
- Understanding of Air and Missile Defense Systems.
Clearance Requirements:
Currently hold or able to obtain Top Secret Clearance
