The Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport, Maine, is currently searching for a talented Event Manager. This is a full-time, year round position for the right candidate.
The qualified candidate will have past experience with event management in a hotel / catering environment, comprehensive knowledge of day of staff coordination, ability to read BEOs and direct staff, be outgoing, positive and willing to promote growth within the department.
Seasonal housing is a possibility.
Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate event details between the Catering & Sales team and F&B department
- Follow-up with the sales team for changes prior to event
- Coordinate details of booked events to staff on the day of event
- Manage staff to effectively execute event from start to finish
- Abide by timelines
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Professional demeanor and ability to work well under pressure
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage
Compensation competitive and commensurate with experience. Hourly rate of pay plus service charges and bonuses available.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
