Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques
- Provide support and companionship to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or autism
- Follow care plans and ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients
- Respect and uphold the rights of residents in accordance with established guidelines
Skills:
- Experience in providing care for individuals with dementia, hospice care, or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of medication administration and ability to follow prescribed protocols
- Proficient in performing basic first aid procedures
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs
- Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and their families
- Physical strength and ability to lift and assist with transfers as needed
