```Duties```
- Assist veterinarians in providing care for animals in a veterinary clinic and in clients’ homes during housecalls
- Perform various tasks to support the veterinary team and ensure the well-being of animals
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor animals' vital signs and report any abnormalities to veterinarians
- Assist with diagnostic procedures, such as taking X-rays or preparing lab samples
- Keep a clean work space, restock and maintain equipment needed for housecalls
```Experience```
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care, aseptic technique, animal restraint, animal catheterization, animal handling, pet care, animal physiology, and animal husbandry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with common veterinary medications and treatments
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
