Dover Behavioral Health System is a STAR LRP-approved facility! The Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program is intended for individuals working in a full-time direct care role in either a CDC designated substance use disorder (SUD) location, or Mental Health Professional Shortage Area. As such, qualified staff will be able to have their student loans paid off (up to $250,000). RNs qualify!
Duties and Responsibilities of a Staff Educator:
- Develop and implement effective onboarding and orientation programs for new hires to ensure they meet competencies and deliver high-quality care.
- Monitor new hires' progress, participate in evaluations, and provide ongoing education to help them excel in their roles.
- Design and facilitate training programs, CEUs, and in-services to address staff development and hospital needs, partnering with HR and the Management Team.
- Manage the Healthstream system to provide education to the hospital, including facilitating the Annual Competency Fair and other hospital-wide trainings and in-services.
Staff Educator (RN) Job Requirements:
- Current RN license to practice nursing in the State of Delaware (or eligible to receive or renew).
- Minimum of three years of staff education and training experience; Healthcare training and education highly preferred
- Must become a facilitator/administrator of Handle With Care, Verbal De-Escalation, HealthStream and Service Excellence within a year of acceptance into the role; CPR Instructor a plus
