Job Title: Administrative Support Specialist/Medical Assistant for Weight Management and Aesthetics
Overview:
We are a small boutique style Wellness Medical Practice specializing in weight management, hormone replacement, body sculpting treatments and hair loss. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to their work. The ideal candidate will excel in patient interactions, support patient consultations, demonstrate understanding of weight management principles, hormones, and/or body aesthetics or willingness to learn, exhibit flexibility and adaptability as our practice expands and evolves. Responsibilities:
- Front Desk: Greet patients, answer phones, check patients in and out.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, schedule appointments, manage patient inquiries via phone and email and assist with billing and insurance related tasks such as prior authorizations and financing services including Care Credit and Cherry.
- Executive Assistant: Assist physician throughout the business day by efficiently managing the schedule and fulfilling their needs and requests. This involves ensuring the schedule runs smoothly and stays on track.
- Patient Consultations: Conduct or assist in patient consultations under the supervision of a medical professional. Gather medical history, vital signs, and other pertinent information. Assist in assessing patients' weight management goals and aesthetic concerns.
- Support Medical Procedures: This may include but is not limited to: administering injections, taking vital signs, and blood draws. Setting up and breaking down treatment rooms, cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
- Educational Support: Provide guidance on aesthetic treatments and procedures offered at the practice.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations and protocols related to patient care, including HIPAA regulations and infection control guidelines.
- Future Growth Opportunities: Performing TED Hair Restoration treatments, social media management, researching and learning about innovative aesthetic and wellness treatments to integrate in our practice and align with our values and goals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a medical assistant program or certification preferred. Esthetician license a plus!
- Experience: Previous experience working in a medical setting, particularly in weight management, hormone replacement and body aesthetics, is highly desirable.
- Aesthetic Knowledge: Understanding or strong interest in learning about non invasive body aesthetic treatments.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to empathize with patients, calm reassuring demeanor while providing compassionate care while multitasking.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Social Media: Knowledge of social media platforms, encompassing content creation, reels, and a creative approach is not required but is highly desired.
- Reliability: Exceptional reliability to accommodate a busy schedule, with minimal cancellations and days off.
