Job Summary:
We are a unique surgical center who prides ourselves in excellent patient care and patient experience. We care for patients from all around the world and a large percentage of pediatric patients. Our work family is looking for a caring individual who is able to provide the utmost professional and compassionate care to our patients. This individual must posses PALS and ACLS certifications, and prefferable experience in perioperative (Pre-op) and postoperative care (PACU).
Our current needs are every Monday and every Friday and a floating day during the week according to the schedule needs. The ideal individual will be able to work over scheduled shift and be flexible with the goal of providing our patients with highly quality care. The right individual may have the opportunity for a full time position as the center grows.
The duties will include:
- Pre-op appointments
- Educating the patient and family for their specific procedure.
- Able to start IV's on patients.
- Monitor patients post-anesthesia to ensure safe emergence from anesthesia.
- Assess patients' condition and manage pain effectively
- Collaborate with the surgical team to create individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Valid California RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.
- Previous experience in PACU or critical care setting preferred.
- Knowledge of acute pain management techniques.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
