Growing, privately-owned and operated Integral Manufacturing manufactures components (metal stamping, plastic injection molding, welded parts and sub-assemblies) as a contract manufacturer for the consumer, industrial, and building products markets. The Die Setter is responsible for die set up of progressive and single hit dies. This position must: install and set dies to stamp parts to print, inform management of machine issues, and complete some material handling. The die setter is responsible for setting up a press to be production ready for the operator.
Responsibilities Include:
- Review and recommend process improvements for die set ups
- Plan sequences of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of work piece materials
- Set up machines using set up sheet.
- Operate machines and record operational data in database.
- Load work pieces, material, or chemical solutions into machines
- Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications
- Perform preventive maintenance on presses.
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties
- Material handling
Skills and Qualifications:
- Three (3) years’ experience in setting dies or press room environment.
- Possess ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers
- Previous metal stamping experience preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Documentation skills
- High School diploma or GED required
