POSITION LOCATION
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Currently 5 days of on-site work per month are required.
POSITION PURPOSE
The Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with our Technical Operations and Development team to deploy secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions that align with our business goals and technical requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Alignment of cloud strategy and planning with company's business goals.

Develop and implement cloud architecture and solutions using industry best practices that meet the company’s technical and business requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud migration strategies and implement cloud-based services.

Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

Ensure cloud infrastructure meets security and compliance standards, implementing best practices for data protection and regulatory requirements.

Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions seamlessly.

Monitor and optimize cloud performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Assists the Management Team with planning and budgeting.

Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

Ensures that cloud functions are well coordinated with other corporate operations.

Keeps Senior Management informed of cloud operations, progress toward established objectives, and of any significant problems.

Must be responsive and supportive of Senior Management’s direction.
- Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required.

Assists area personnel as needed.

Stays informed of trends and changes in the information services and cloud field.

Embraces all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school graduate or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 3 or more years working in a 24x7 operational environment.

2-3 years IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, PowerShell) experience.

2-3 years Linux environment experience

2-3 years Cloud-engineering experience
- 1-3 years configuration management experience

1-3 years CI/CD pipeline management experience

1-3 years Networking experience (Cloud or on-prem)

1-3 years YAML experience (any application)

1-3 years Containerization experience

1-3 years scripting or development experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of cloud operations.
- Knowledge of cloud design, deployment, and support (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of cloud automation.
- Strong analytical/technical knowledge pertaining to decision analysis.
- Understanding of company operations and output requirements.
WORKING CONDITIONS

- Additional hours, including Saturday/Sunday support, as required.

Occasional overnight travel for training, conferences, and to clients required.

Long duration of computer workstation usage.

On-call responsibilities, available 24/7 via phone or pager.
