POSITION OVERVIEW:
Security Assistant Shift Managers are responsible for overseeing the day to day security operation for the entire Fontainebleau facility. This includes overseeing the Armed Security Officer and Security officer teams while directly managing the officers assigned to their shift. This is an armed position which requires carrying a firearm and qualifying with it quarterly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Provide excellent guest service; assist guests by giving directions and answering questions in a friendly and courteous manner

Follows policies and procedures

Oversees Security Officers & Armed Security Officers as well as daily security operations

Creates schedules
-
Trains and evaluates Construction Security Officers, including issuing coaching or discipline as needed

Reviews and corrects payroll as needed

Acts as a liaison without outside agencies during incidents

Writes detailed reports
-
Fulfills Security Officer duties as needed

Maintains confidentiality

Attends company training
-
Addresses and reports suspicious activity or other concerns

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. At least one year of law enforcement, military, or EMT experience highly preferred

Must have 1-year armed security experience

3 years of leadership experience
-
Previous guest service experience

Proven ability to maintain the confidentiality of the material being handled

Literacy and fluency in English

Must have a valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record

Have current CPR certification or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of the hire date

Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics; review facts and weigh options

Able to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information; perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change; manage transitions effectively from task to task; adapt to varying customer needs

Ability to complete defensive tactics & handcuffing certification

Ability to complete firearm training certification

Currently holds Nevada CCW permit, or able to complete upon hire. Alternatively, HR218 qualification accepted

Ability to wear required gear for extended periods of time

Computer literacy required

Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Team Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
This position has additional physical demands as described below:

Ability to rapidly climb 18 flights of stairs to provide assistance during an emergency

Must be able to bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and carry the weight up to 20 feet

Must be able to walk/stand up to 8 hours per day

SALARY
$60000 per year - $65000 per year
