Overview of Position:
LSCC seeks to hire Advanced Practice Registered Nurses with PMHNP Board Certification who are experienced working with the underserved population who may be experiencing significant barriers to care. The APRN delivers excellent care to patients of all ages who are appropriate for an out-patient, primary care, community health center. APRN’s provide care both in person and virtually, and positions can be in a behavioral health clinic working alongside therapists and other psychiatric practitioners, or practice in a primary care setting alongside primary care providers.

· Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas and able to maintain licensure.
· Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas and able to maintain licensure.
· Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (PMHNP.)
· Current DEA certificate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Provides psychiatric evaluations, reevaluations, diagnoses, and treatment to patients of various age ranges, commensurate with their experience, education, licensure, and credentialing, including for those patients who have recently been discharged from inpatient hospitalization.
· Collaborates with patients and effectively communicates clinical impressions while assessing strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs.
· Ability to interact and collaborate with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety if a patient needs a higher level of care.
· Participate in after hours on call rotation 1-2 times a year.
· Possess computer/technology skills to efficiently document within an electronic health record and conduct tele-medicine visits, as well as communicating/meeting with colleagues virtually.
