We are seeking a motivated and outgoing Naturopathic Medical Doctor / Naturopathic Physician to be a part of our functional medicine and wellness practice in Boise / Meridian, Idaho. This licensed practitioner will provide patient care, provide medical assessment and guidance using naturopathic modalities such as nutrition counseling, homeopathy, IV therapy, and hydrotherapy, and perform procedures that include IM/subQ injections and venipuncture. Additionally, our NMD will conduct thorough patient interviews and laboratory assessments, as well as order appropriate imaging and diagnostic procedures. Working knowledge of autoimmunity, autoimmune thyroid disorders, and endocrinology is preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent naturopathic care to patients, including diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases and conditions
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and laboratory tests
- Develop personalized care plans based on patient needs and goals
- Educate patients on naturopathic principles, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques
- Administer IV infusions and perform venipuncture
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care accordingly
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of naturopathic principles and practices with a desire to focus on functional medicine and autoimmune conditions
- Proficient in conducting patient assessments and physical examinations
- Familiarity with USP standards of IV compounding
- Proficient in performing venipuncture and administering IV infusions
-Experience prescribing medications in the naturopathic formulary
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and counsel patients
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a healthcare team
Experience:
Experience in autoimmune conditions, autoimmune thyroid disorders, functional medicine and IV compounding.
Requirements:
Licensed in Idaho, NMD/ND degree
