Aprendamos is seeking a passionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. As an SLP at Aprendamos, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and language disorders, helping them achieve their full potential in speech and language development. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to provide exceptional therapeutic services to children and families in need.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion and patience when working with clients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively organize and communicate information to target audiences.
- Proficiency in using speech therapy tools and technology.
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities & Duties
- Meet documentation requirements
- Evaluate the effects of the treatment plan and communicate the progress to the family
- Regularly consult and practice with the other professionals on the child’s team
- Work in a changing environment gathering relevant information to integrate, change or modify individualized treatment plan
- Assessment and diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension.
- Individualized treatment: Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client, using evidence based practices and therapeutic interventions.
- Therapeutic intervention: Provide speech and language therapy to client, implementing various techniques and strategies to improve communication skills.
- Progress monitoring: Regularly assess and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Family and caregiver education: Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide guidance and education on supporting speech and language development at home.
- Collaborative teamwork: Work closely with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators, to ensure holistic care and alignment of goals.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up to date client records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Continuing education: Stay current with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development and training.
- Advocacy: Advocate for the needs of clients and participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about speech and language disorders.
