Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Commercial Lines Manager to their Knauf Maxwell team in Los Angeles Metro Region.
Job Summary:
The Commercial Lines Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a team of Account Managers and Account Assistants to ensure service teams are following company policies and procedures and providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to clients, producers, account managers and company personnel. This position also maintains a book of business as a commercial lines account manager.
Essential Functions:
- Fully knowledgeable of all process, procedures and best practices for Commercial Lines insurance servicing.
- Fully knowledgeable of data and EPIC agency management programs.
- Lead and direct Commercial Lines Account Managers and Account Assistants and provides support to such positions to ensure that best practices are being followed, service timelines are met, and quality of all work meets company standards.
- Trains, mentors and reviews performance of Account Managers and Account Assistants.
- Monitors workload of staff on a regular basis and make adjustments to re-distribute work as needed.
- Assists staff with analyzing account problems and finding appropriate solutions.
- Facilitating communication between Account Managers and Producers to ensure teams are collaborating effectively.
- Design and implement strategic planning of long or short-term department objectives.
- Works with Insurance carriers to solve problems, negotiate short and long term goals and set strategy for placement of business. Communicate this information in a timely manner to the producers and principals.
- Interprets and implements departmental policies and procedures.
- Manages a book of commercial lines business, therefore has all the duties of a Commercial Lines Account Manager.
- Create and lead renewal discussions and meetings to go over business results
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Prefer at least 7 years of recent Commercial Lines Account Management experience
- Prefer 5 years of people management experience
- Demonstrated success in overall customer service
- Knowledge of Insurance Marketplace, Carriers and resources to place business with
Education / Certification
- Bachelor's degree preferred; undergraduate degree required or equivalent of experience
- Appropriate insurance agent's license required
- Professional designations; CPCU, CISR preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Technical: Intermediate to advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, and Outlook. EPIC software proficiency preferred, but not required.
