Description:
Our company is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Gift Shop Attendant to join our team. As a Gift Shop Attendant, you will be responsible for selling gift shop merchandise to customers; unpacking, verifying, and inspecting received goods; rejecting damaged items or incorrect orders; maintaining records of items received; preparing goods for display or sale; and sorting and distributing items to the appropriate department.
Responsibilities:
- Sell gift shop merchandise to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Unpack, verify, and inspect received goods, rejecting damaged items or incorrect orders
- Maintain accurate records of items received
- Prepare goods for display or sale
- Sort and distribute items to the appropriate department
- Keep the gift shop clean and organized
- Assist customers with any questions or concerns they may have
- Operate the cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
- Follow all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
