GT Residential Contracting is growing and looking for long term Lead Carpenters who can display industry leading talent, care and professionalism.
A Lead Carpenter with our custom home and remodeling company is a person with high standards. In matters of character, integrity, and quality of work, they show exemplary leadership. Their success is measured by their ability to work independently, utilize our company resources, sub-contractors and vendors to deliver results with minimal direction from project managers. They are positive and affirming toward staff and sub contractors and care about creating a healthy work environment.
Wage listed is the starting wage DOE. Performance reviews at 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. Annually thereafter. All new hires for Lead positions will have an evaluation period before being assigned first project.
Experience/Requirements: 10 Years minimum residential construction experience resulting in the following skills/attributes:
- Effective Daily, Bi-Weekly and Monthly Task Management/Planning
- Resource Management, Staff Utilization
- Subcontractor Management & Coordination
- Problem Solving Personality
- Proficient Architectural Drawing & Specification Reading
- Professional Minded, Skilled Carpenter
- Construction Layout
- Concrete (foundations & footings)
- Framing/Structural Assembly
- Windows & Doors
- Waterproofing/Drainage & Building Envelopes
- Cabinet/Casework Installation
- Broad Knowledge of Interior Finishes.
- Ability to Organize and Manage Sub Contractors and Schedules
Duties & Responsibilities
- 40 hours per week of site work.
- Organize workflows and utilize staffing to maintain schedules.
- Oversee completed work, provide quality control.
- Valid Drivers License Reliable Transportation/Truck.
- Carpentry Hand Tools (as expected for a Journeyman).
- Take care and facilitate maintenance of company issued power tools/job box.
- Communicate with staff and report to management on day to day operations.
- Responsible for checking material takeoffs and timely deliveries in accordance with the job schedule..
- Thoroughly track time and manage receipts for billing, payroll & estimating purposes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $39.00 per hour
