National Sales Executive – Key Accounts (CPG exp. req.) Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry for consumer goods is seeking an Account Executive to join their team in Marietta, GA. You will drive business growth within key customers through strategic initiatives and relationship building. The ideal candidate will have proven success within the consumer goods industry or fragrance industry and is highly skilled with a consultative sales approach. You must be an excellent communicator who is also innovative, strategic, team-oriented, and exhibits strong presentation skills. National Sales Executive – Key Accounts (CPG exp. req.) Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to grow key customers via strategic initiatives and relationship-building
- Maximize opportunities to increase market share
- Generate forecasts by customer & provide insights to the internal planning team
- Conduct market research (ex: visiting retail outlets) to identify trends & competitive offerings
- Manage key accounts (70%) and prospect new customers (30%)
- Plan weekly travel for customer visits and meetings
- Work with Product Development and Engineering teams to learn technical product details
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop go-to-market approach and sales tools
- Support the execution of customer-specific requirements and initiatives
- Regularly report on sales milestones and progress against financial targets
- Provide customers with product concepts, submission documents, and presentations
- Utilize compelling storytelling in presentations and sales pitches
- Coordinate with Sales colleagues on interregional accounts
National Sales Executive – Key Accounts (CPG exp. req.) Qualifications
- 8+ years of B2B sales experience with a physical product or fragrance is required
- Consultative sales experience in the consumer goods industry is required
- Strong presentation/storytelling and strategic planning skills are required
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
- Ability to travel domestically up to 50% is required (you determine the schedule)
- Ability to work from the corporate office when not traveling is required
