SUMMARY
Senior Budget Analyst is responsible for assisting in preparing and monitoring the agency’s annual budget, analyzing the budget to actual on a monthly basis, preparing the Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR), and performing other administrative and clerical support for the Budget Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Budget Analyst will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with preparation annual agency budgets
- Interact with other departments to obtain the necessary documents for the budget process
- Update and maintain square footage schedules
- Update and maintain vehicle allocation schedules
- Update and maintain revenue schedules (program fees) using the latest rate sheets and vacancy report
- Update and maintain contract revenue schedule using the grant guidelines
- Obtain contract clinicians report including name, job discipline and program from the finance department and analyze based on historical facts and future goals to determine the budget amount
- Assist with preparation of annual Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) and related supporting CFR reporting documents
- Assist with preparation of annual AHCF Report and related supporting AHCF reporting documents
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, comparing budget to actual revenue and expenses for each program
- Rate Analysis
- Analyze program rate sheets to ensure accuracy with operating rate, property reimbursement and other rate adjustments
- Rate Rationalization – calculation of projected rates for Supervised and Supportive Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA’s), Group Day Habilitation, and Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF’s) based upon input of specific CFR expense data into rate projection template
- Property Reimbursement
- Preparation of Prior Property Approval (PPA) Requests and review related funding approvals
- Preparation of Final Expenditure Report (FER)
- Assist in supervising the Budget Department staff, including on-site assistance and oversight in managing projects and responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as requested

- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

- Ability to analyze problems and determine corrective measures.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and appropriate software (Excel, Word) and E-Mail system
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- General working knowledge of accounting and related terminology
- Good analytical ability
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in one of the following: Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics and/or Economics
- Not-for-profit industry experience strongly preferred.
COMPENSATION $70,000-$80,000 Annually + industry-leading benefits!
