As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative and medical support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and input medical records and insurance data
- Check patients in and out and enter data in patient charts
- Assist during medical examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Escort patients to the exam rooms
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or in medial health care
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, MS Office
- Proficiency in patient management software - electronic medical record, if not will train
- Degree in medical assistance or experience in medical health care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour
