Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide dynamic, engaging instruction to promote functional skill development for a diverse group of students ranging in age from 15 to 22 within a special day program on a comprehensive high school campus. Successful candidates will possess knowledge and skill in the use of the alternate curriculum, inclusive practices, assistive (state of the art) technology, use of data to drive instruction, positive behavioral strategies, community based instruction, development of vocational skills and transition activities. Job duties include case management, development of compliant Individualized Education Plans, delivery of direct instruction, training / supervision of teaching assistants, collaboration with related service providers, school staff and other duties as assigned. Experience with students impacted by multiple disabilities and autism is required.
Qualifications: Candidates must hold a current credential with a moderate/severe teaching credential and significant experience working with a similar population.
