Duties (As assigned but not limited to:
I. Sales & Marketing
- Build relationships with the government liaison/COR to increase contracts.
- Assist VP of Operations with their sales & marketing tasks, by telephone, in one-in-one meetings, by memo, and by way of regular meetings.
- Represents Distinctive HC at conferences and exhibits and participates in other professional meetings, as discussed, scheduled, and agreed upon with Management.
- Makes as much personal contact with families as required by the family or Distinctive Home Care management.
II. Administration
- Identify the target areas in which a business can improve its operation.
- Develop and monitor revenue margins, operating expenses, and budgets in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer.
- Drive the planning and orchestration of business objectives.
- Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in process improvement, organizational design, and management/measurement systems.
- Supervision of all employees & assigned contracting employees to include performance evaluations and pay increases.
- Recruitment of employees as needed.
- Coaches his/her Distinctive Home Care employees.
- Develop and implement guidelines for employee evaluations, recruitment, and promotion.
- Oversee productivity, training, and development.
- Lead strategic initiatives to improve scalability, agility, and efficiency.
- Hiring and firing of subordinate staff.
- Ensures all client/employee/caregiver paperwork is in compliance with the Office of Health Care Quality.
- Supervises staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensures that all contractual deliverables are achieved successfully each month as required.
- Ensures that all Project Management reports are completed each month or as required.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
- Participates in the hiring and training of departmental Project Manager (PM) managers.
- Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of PMs.
- Manages discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
IV. Service Coordination/Recruiting
- Fills openings (recruits) for all existing and new services/cases as required.
- Ensures that Distinctive’s overall fill rate percentage is 80%.
- Attends to the needs of all assignments in a thorough manner and maintains a good rapport and relationship with the clients/customers as well as the employees.
V. Billing/Timesheet Processing
- Gathers all information on attendance at existing clients, start-ups at new clients, and the ending of assignments.
- Gathers all pay information for employees on a semimonthly basis.
- Ensures all changes and updates to employees and client/customer files as information becomes available.
- Gathers timesheets for both the government and commercial divisions of DHC for processing.
VI. Project Management
- Oversees all contracts - manages the contract life cycle on assigned contracts.
- Manages other PMs/contracts as assigned as they become vacant.
- Managing contract staff.
- Ensures effective communication with corporate and field staff employees.
- Works in partnership with the VP of Operations to manage employees and our contractual requirements.
VII. Additional Duties/Responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
- Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
- Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.
- Communicates and explains new directives policies, or procedural changes to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
NOTE: Must be able to travel, understand the healthcare industry and its demands, be flexible, possess leadership skills, and adhere to policy.
- Prior Management experience is necessary.
- Preferred college degree (Bachelor's) in management or business administrative.
- Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience.
- Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
- Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
- Demonstrates extreme professionalism.
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
