Job Description: Lab Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
· High school diploma/GED.
· Ability to prioritize effectively and work in a fast paced environment.
Preferred:
· Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
RESPONSIBILITES
General Technical Responsibilities
· Responsible for the preparation of test batches utilizing lab information management system.
· Responsible for routine aliquoting of specimens through the operation of automated liquid handlers.
· Responsible for the preparation of mobile phases and other reagents as needed for testing.
· Responsible for the cleaning of dishware and other laboratory equipment.
· Responsible for weekly monitoring of safety equipment such as the emergency shower and eye-wash station.
· Close attention to detail in all responsibilities, including proper controlled document handling, chain of custody documentation, and good lab practice.
Professionalism
· Testing personnel must follow directions of production manager, laboratory supervisor, and laboratory director.
· Must adhere to all practice policies, including but not limited to scope of practice, attendance, confidentiality, dress code, and use of personal time.
· Must follow all safety procedures.
· Must be a team player and always strive to create a positive work environment.

Pay: From $18.70 per hour
