Big Sandy Site Representative
Location: Wikieup, Arizona
Summary of Position
This full-time role has been defined within NTEC to ensure a company representative is available and close to the project area to assist with all site-specific activities and manage contractors working on or in the Project area. These activities include providing a local site presence, working with the exploratory drilling team, assisting with contractor site visits, assisting with contractor work activities, providing support during political and community engagement tours and meetings, and assisting with site deliveries/shipments as the project progresses into different phases. This position is integral in ensuring that all phases of the project are communicated to the community, are on time, and are being done to NTEC standards. This position must take a personal and active approach to health, safety, and environment and understand and follow all state, federal, and company health, safety, and environmental requirements applicable to the work area and tasks assigned. Local and Tribal hiring preference is included with this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Represents NTEC to the local community and earns trust by building and maintaining relationships, being honest, and communicating effectively.
- Listens to community feedback, and shares with NTEC team to help improve the project.
- Enforce and promote strict safety standards for field drilling operations, fostering a commitment to safety among personnel and service providers.
- Ensuring project plans are met in the most cost-effective and productive manner.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for all project site-specific activities.
- Identifies challenges and works with supervisor and project team to develop sustainable solutions.
- Maintains interaction with management, stakeholders, and environmental and safety regulators.
- Perform onsite management of projects, work orders, invoice review, and approval responsibilities.
- Coordinates work processes with stakeholders, other departments, and contractors.
- Implementing and executing project plans and schedules.
- Ensures work areas and activities comply with all Company, safety, regulatory and environmental policies, and procedures.
- Maintains an open dialogue and two-way communication throughout the organization.
- Demonstrates desired values, behaviors, and work practices for the team.
- Consistently displays positive behavior that supports the organization’s goals and objectives.
Necessary Qualifications
- Located in Wikieup, AZ, or a nearby community, with the ability to travel to the project site daily.
- Positive relationships within the community.
- High School Diploma and 2 or more years of professional experience.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Knowledge and or eagerness to learn company health, safety and environmental practices.
- Well-developed assessment, judgment, and critical thinking abilities.
- Proven strong conflict management skills to include resolution of complex relations issues.
- Written and oral communication skills in the office and field settings.
- Demonstrated strong customer service orientation.
- Proven Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to lead community engagement events and site tours.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to continuously sit with frequent forward bending and rotation. The employee must frequently lift, carry and/or move up to 15 pounds; rarely to horizontally lift up to 34 pounds; and rarely lift, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds or swing up to 12 pounds. The employee is required to rarely push or pull up to 100 pounds of force. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms; occasionally use a hand grip up to 30 pounds of force; and rarely use hand at an elevated level. The employee is required to continuously stand with forward bending and frequently rotating; kneel, and frequently walk; climb stairs; crouch; squat repetitively; and occasionally crawl. Rarely the employee is required to squat repetitively or reach up to 74”. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment: Works in an office environment and site environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Working outdoors in all weather conditions; working in plant environment; working in a shop environment; and working in the cab of equipment or vehicle.
