- Communicate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists during the design build construction process
- Perform and/or supervise ASHRAE Level I and II, and III energy audits and retro-commissioning of existing buildings to maximize energy savings opportunities
- Coordinate visits to customer project sites to investigate existing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and document energy performance information, including utility data and facility infrastructure drawings.

Identify opportunities for conservation or efficiency, prepare energy savings calculations, and perform engineering assessment including baseline profiles, end-use and retrofit analysis.

Analyze and prepare conceptual and detailed engineering design and bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for energy efficient building technology and system measures.

Provide engineering guidance throughout development, construction, project commissioning, and operations, including proposals, technical reports, cost estimates, and presentations.

Compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.

Ensure successful project implementation that meets or exceeds company objectives, financial parameters, and technical needs required to deliver customer energy cost savings.

Lead visits to customer project sites to investigate existing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and document energy performance, including utility data and facility information.

Audit facility systems to include visual inspection and documentation, performance measurements with field instruments and datalogging equipment, retrieval of information from client control, SCADA and metering systems, identification and retrieval of relevant drawings, performance and maintenance logs, service and utility contracts.

Lead engineering development activities in support of construction, operations, and maintenance of customer site projects as required by energy savings performance contracts.

Develop and prepare accurate, accessible, and persuasive proposal documents and supporting appendices in compliance with contract requirements.

Prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project.

Work with operations team to find out and implement continuous improvement initiatives through various projects.

Participate in internal, external customer/contractor meetings and resolves project issues. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

Monitor energy consumption and maintain accurate records to carry out energy data analysis and identify improvement opportunities;

Establish engineering KPIs, benchmark against best in class to validate performance and improvements in engineering practices.

Recruit a best-in-class regional Engineering Team. This Team will consist of both Path employees and sub-contractors reporting to the Vice President of Engineering

Works with Team to develop energy conservation measures including modeling, measurement & verification, and meeting with customers.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university or work experience that demonstrates the above skills.

Preferred PE license and experience with HVAC, Energy Modeling and/or Building Commissioning

Preferred experience within the building materials or construction industries however other industries or experiences will still be considered

The Vice President of Engineering will partner with our Vice President of Development in creating and implementing energy savings, renewable technology and building renovation projects. These projects primarily focus on upgrading existing buildings for public clients in Mississippi and Tennessee (including energy savings, renewable technology, general renovation and HVAC projects). Our ideal candidate will be an Engineer with a good work ethic, high ethical standard and a willingness to learn. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and will be salary-based.
