As a member of the professional staff, the Senior Manager/Global Tax Provision contributes specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support team and/or department business objectives. Generally works under limited supervision, but within established guidelines, producing and analyzing more complex business information to assist in the decision making process.
The Senior Tax Manager/Global Tax Provision will report to the AVP/Tax Provision and:
Manages certain aspects of the MVW quarterly and annual tax provisions and tax return compliance and assists AVPs and Directors with the global provision.
Assists AVPs and Directors with income tax audits and notices.
Reviews to ensure information received and used in tax provision reporting is complete and accurate (e.g. GAAP to tax, return to provision adjustments).”
Manages GAAP to local tax reconciliations working with internal and external resources to ensure completeness and accuracy for the Company's tax provision and tax returns.
Monitors, researches, and evaluates accounting and tax legislation impacting MVW and drafts memos to support MVW's position.
Coordinates with accounting team to ensure entity accounting is accurate for tax sensitive accounts.
Assists AVPs and Directors with tax automation and process improvement projects.
Ensures internal and external team workflow and timelines are met.
Ensures adherence to corporate tax accounting policies and procedures to proactively identify areas of improvement creating an atmosphere of strong controls and compliance.
Communicates best practices to facilitate effective and efficient accounting guidelines.
Develops training and reporting reports and tools to ensure strong focus and understanding of business factors.
Performs other similar duties as required.
