The Fire Protection Engineering Manager is a highly skilled and experienced professional who will oversee the successful execution of engineering tasks on a variety of projects, working closely with the Project Manager for guidance and direction.
- Act as the main engineering resource for assigned projects, demonstrating competence, independence, thoroughness, accuracy, and creativity
- Plan and organize tasks effectively to ensure timely project completion and adherence to the project schedule
- Maintain transparent and effective communication with the Project Manager and other stakeholders, providing updates on project concerns and engineering decisions
- Establish effective communication channels with clients, AHJs, consultants, and other stakeholders, utilizing various mediums such as telephone, email, etc.
- Apply problem-solving skills, backed by experience, judgment, and education, seeking guidance from the Project Manager or senior engineers when necessary
- Create innovative and customized engineering solutions to complex problems, ensuring high value delivery to clients
- Carry out design development tasks diligently and with meticulous attention to detail
- Produce comprehensive engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, letters, and narratives
- Provide proficient construction administration services, focusing on attention to detail and competency
- Anticipate 20-30% travel requirements for construction period services
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on fire protection experience
- Proficiency in using Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360
- Registered or licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) preferably in Fire Protection Engineering, or certified as an engineering technician (NICET), or the ability to obtain licensure/certification within 24 months
