Highly successful and innovative small Plaintiff’s law firm has an immediate opening for a talented and motivated full-time Administrative Assistant to join our thriving firm in the El Segundo area in Los Angeles with opportunities for future growth. We are looking for a highly organized and independent individual who can manage working in a dynamic team environment, with stakeholders in multiple locations and clients throughout the state. An ideal candidate will be passionate about helping consumers throughout California, be able to work with little supervision, be detail-oriented and a team player. Our assistant will undertake general office duties and be involved with a variety of client services, including client communication, correspondence, scheduling appointments, office clerical work, database and file management along with processing a high volume of U.S. Mail. Free parking on site in a location central to LAX and the South Bay and close to freeways.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Scheduling appointments for a large volume of clients (no cold calling involved).
- Sending U.S. Mail to a high volume of recipients - tasks include proofreading, printing, stuffing, and taking mail to the post office.
- Strong reading, writing, speaking and communication skills are essential.
- Reporting to a team of attorneys and diligently following up on given tasks.
- Assisting legal assistants with copying, filing, organization and case management overflow work.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but current college students are welcome to apply.
- 1+ years’ experience in an office setting required, preferably in a legal environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and proficiency in Word and Excel, particularly database management.
- Internet research and technological fluency is a must.
