Position: Purchasing Manager FSLA Designation: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Purchasing
Position Summary:
This individual is responsible for managing the Purchasing Coordinator position along with assisting the Director of Purchasing in the daily oversight of the Purchasing Department. Areas of responsibility include: start packages, VPO’s, invoice kickbacks, field related take off and plan issue resolution, core plan list, plan management, bid issues, new plan and community setup, coordinating plan and feature changes with Coordinators and Estimating, and other projects as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Management of Purchasing Coordinator activities:
- Training, daily oversight, and reviews (performance & salary)
- Timely and accurate start packages
- Consistent, timely, and accurate VPO processing
- Monitor VPOs for possible take off errors and/or cost reductions
- Appliance orders
- Invoice kickback resolution
- Change Order (after start) processing
- Liaison between the Field and Estimating
- Resolution of field related issues associated with take offs and plans
- Bid issue resolution
- Core plan list maintenance
- Plan management (plan portal and B360)
- New community and new plan setup in B360
- Coordinate plan and feature changes with Purchasing, Estimating, Permitting, and Construction
- Assist Estimating with B360 setup, updates, and changes as necessary
- Other projects as assigned
Technical Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Purchasing & Estimating for residential construction

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
