Applied LNG has an immediate opening for an LNG Trailer Loader at our Topock, AZ plant. Reporting to the Director, Cryogenic Equipment Maintenance & Logistics, the primary duty is the loading of LNG into company cryogenic trailers. This requires the ability to hook to an empty trailer in the drop yard and drive it onto the loading rack. From there you will load the trailer in accordance with established safety protocols and monitor trailer and computer conditions to ensure the process goes smoothly. Afterwards, you will return the trailer to the drop yard for the subsequent driver to pick up. Driving is limited to the facility location which does not include public roads.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on each trailer before and after loading.
- Obtain and record relevant load info to be entered into the system.
- Maintain close telephone contact with the dispatcher to receive and confirm his/her loading schedule for the following day. Provide daily yard check.
- Perform minor repairs to trailers.
- Coordinate necessary vendors for tire and unforeseen repairs needed. Verify that repairs were done.
- Direct and assist other drivers as needed.
- Participating in plant maintenance program, general equipment upkeep and critical checks as directed by Director.
- Other duties and assignments as requested.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid state driver’s license with no active violations within the previous three years.
- Experience backing and maneuvering tractor-trailers safely into tight areas.
- One (1) year general experience moving trailers, connecting and disconnecting hoses to load and unload product.
- Experience with Gas/Hazmat industry a plus but not required.
- Mechanical experience including usage of basic tools.
- Ability to work independently and perform required work in a timely manner.
- Willingness to learn, hazmat and supply-chain activities.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Computer skills including Microsoft WORD and Excel.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Other Requirements:
Work assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Minimum of 21 years of age. High safety standard for self and others. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others. No Relocation or Sponsorship available for this position.
Physical Demands:

In accordance with OSHA regulations, employees are prohibited from having facial or head hair that impairs the effectiveness of respirator equipment.

While performing the duties of this class, the incumbent is regularly required to analyze and solve problems; observe and interpret situations; deal with changing, intensive deadlines; and interact with officials and the public.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this class. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and on slippery and uneven surfaces.
The employee is frequently exposed to extreme hot and dry conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock and burn. The noise level in the work environment outside the control room is exceptionally loud and requires that ear protection be worn much of the time.
