Join the team of highly dedicated professionals. We are presently looking for a Cook. This is a Per diem position who is directly responsible for daily and ongoing dietary services and support of all aspects of Seven Hills Hospital’s food service. As a Per diem staff member, the days and hours of work may be inconsistent without a set weekly schedule.
Key Functions:
- Cooks meals according to prescribed recipes
- Serves patients and employees
- Daily cleaning, support, and upkeep of dietary service
- Regular monitoring and completion of Dietary logs:
- Food temperature log
- Food storage temperature log
- Labels, dates, stores and rotates food properly
- Follows proper hand hygiene
- Special Projects as required
- Responsible for the monitoring, cleaning, and maintenance of kitchen and dietary equipment
- Manages external vendors/agencies as required
- Practices good quality assurance / risk management measures
- Practices good infection control techniques
- Practices good safety techniques
- Maintain a neat and orderly environment
- Meets training and certification responsibilities
- Acts as trainer/mentor for new employee
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
At least High School Diploma or GED - Required
Licensure/Certification:
Active NV Health Card, Serv Safe Card
Experience:
At least one year related experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
