Job Summary:
We’re looking to add a Managed Care Contracting Specialist to our team at Assist Health Group! Don’t have healthcare experience? Our Contract Specialists work with healthcare providers to create contracts and agreements that outline the terms and conditions that will be provided to our patients. We’re looking for people who love to speak with others and share the benefits that AHG provides so we can continue to offer great services to a greater audience. A successful candidate would be well spoken, driven, have an aptitude for sales, comfortable and confident making cold calls, adept at closing deals, and possess the ability to self-manage.

Duties:
- Make outbound cold calls – You’ll need to be comfortable making calls to facilities to open up the conversation for negotiation and partnership
- Negotiate contracts with providers including agreements on terms and conditions, services provided, reimbursements rates, covered services, provider network requirements, and more
- Analyze contract proposals, review for compliance and regulations to ensure they meet the needs of the organization
- Monitor providers’ compliance with the terms of agreements
- Maintain positive and beneficial relationships with providers to work collaboratively to ensure patients receive the highest quality care (at the best possible cost!)
- Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to develop strategies and standard operating procedures for success
- Assist in guiding others as the team grows
- Communicate effectively internally with a range of remote, hybrid, and international teams
- Research to determine the relevant guidelines and regulations that influence agreements with the ability to locate information quickly and adapt appropriately
Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Excellent organization, negotiation, and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and manage concurrent activities
- Comfortable accepting responsibility for medium to large scale projects involving multiple resources and spanning many months
- Capacity to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems, provider complaints, and concerns
Background & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience or the equivalent in healthcare or business administration, economics, finance, or a related field – healthcare experience is a bonus, not a requirement!
- Comfortable with negotiating, managing, and initiating contracts with providers (healthcare, insurance, or otherwise) and the conversations necessary to be successful in these endeavors
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders in the organization
- Track record of performing research to better understand the context of a specific contract and the needs of our patients
- Experience updating, editing, and continually developing contracts according to new information or requirements
- Knowledge of currently and legally binding contractual language and terminology

- Remote, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CT
- No weekends, holidays, or nights
