CCHP is currently seeking a Counselor to join our multidisciplinary team in our Integrated Outpatient Treatment Program to help individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders through caring, integrated and evidence-based approaches.
Candidates selected for this position will be eligible for a $3,000.00 sign on bonus, payable in two portions: first half after 90 days of successful employment and the remainder after 180 days of successful employment.
You will play a crucial role in assisting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance use. You will provide counseling, support, and education to clients, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with patients to address substance use issues and related concerns.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups to address various aspects of addiction and recovery.
- Assist patients in identifying and developing coping strategies to manage triggers and cravings.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in times of immediate need.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, progress notes, and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including medical staff and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
At CCHP, we value and practice a team-based approach to care. Experience working in a team is not required but is key to the Center's mission.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- LCSW, LMSW (clinical supervision will be provided by an LCSW), LMHC or CASAC
- Experience working with underserved, and substance use populations preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish rapport and build trust with patients.
- Compassionate and non-judgmental attitude.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred
