JOB SUMMARY
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Manage and direct Radwell’s branch operation in Norcross (GA) which consists of a sales center, warehouse and technical center capable of performing repair services and testing and certification of surplus equipment. The person in this position will be responsible for overseeing all operations and be accountable for profit and loss for the branch which will serve the regional market and surrounding areas
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in finalizing detailed business plan for the branch
- Assist in implementing the business plan for Radwell’s expansion into the Georgia area
- Set up business processes in the facility consistent with Radwell’s current philosophy and procedures
- Hire management and operational staff to fulfill business plan for the designated area
- Oversee tactical and strategic operations in the branch facility; ensure efficient and profitable daily operations
- Oversee and direct the branch business operation which will include, but not limited to, the following:
- sales center and customer service operations
- purchasing and receiving of surplus equipment
- inventory management and control
- sales order picking and processing
- repair and technical center operations
- shipping, transportation and logistics management
- Manage the facility and its operations in compliance with local customs and laws; interact with the community, government, and external entities as necessary such as banks, insurance carriers, and lawyers in the interest of the operation
- Provide input to and controls all business processes that in any way affect company/branch finances; ensure the prudent and efficient expenditure of company resources
Manage the relationship with and services provided by the headquarters office in New Jersey
May be modified from time to time. Other duties may be assigned.
METRICS
- Adherence to daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals established for the operation and associated territory
- Adherence to profit and loss objectives measured through the financial statements and adherence to standard associated measures such as profit margins, expense ratios, etc.
- To consistently meet monthly deadlines and objectives as agreed and typically described in quarterly reviews or through other project planning efforts
- To handle ongoing projects and day-to-day demands that are not identified in formal quarterly objectives in a timely and accurate manner
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
All departmental management for the Radwell branch operation will be direct reports to this position
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Knowledge of and understanding of all aspects of business management and the interrelationship of each
- Knowledge, understanding, and ability to identify and implement various business processes related to all business disciplines including international business management, marketing, sales management, customer service, operations management, human resource management, financial management, and management of information and technology
- Ability to identify, set up and formalize business processes and to provide appropriate management, supervision, and staffing to effectively carry out business goals.
- Understanding of international business practices; knowledge and understanding of currency exchange, import/export laws and processes, etc.
- Understanding of financial concepts and ability to understand and interpret financial statements
- Strong sales knowledge and aggressive sales mentality; ability to motivate and reach aggressive and specific sales targets
- Technical knowledge and understanding of electronics and manufacturing products and components especially those manufactured by Allen Bradley (Rockwell Automation), Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.
- Understanding of business and employment law as well as knowledge and understanding of local laws, rules, and customs as they relate to operating a business and hiring personnel
- Deep understanding of all aspects of human resource management including hiring and termination practices, benefits set up and administration, pay structure, etc.
- Ability to easily understand, adapt to, and use computer systems and technology; intermediate to expert knowledge and ability to use end user computing tools, especially Microsoft Office
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors or Masters degree
- Several years of extensive experience at a Senior Manager, Managing Director, or Operational Manager/Director level OR – Successful completion of Radwell’s in-house Management training program
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Initially this job will require some level of hands on involvement in doing whatever is necessary to get a new operation up and running which could be physically demanding at times. Ultimately it will be more of a management and office job and entails the physical demands associated with walking around to observe operations, and operating a telephone and computer (viewing monitor, keyboard, mouse)
EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY
Introductory
- - Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employee has sufficiently met and performed the job requirements, and will indicate whether employment will continue.
- Quarterly reviews – A quarterly written assessment will be issued which briefly describes the individual’s performance in this position.
- Annual Reviews – A more detailed review of the overall performance in this position, where the employee is rated and typically compensated in accordance with that rate
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Dress attire is casual but professional in an office setting. All employees are required to wear “Radwear” (shirt with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received. Radwell ID Badge and Radwell Access Card must be worn at all times and Radwell Safety Policies must be adhered to at all times.
