SUMMARY:
As a Spa Receptionist and Attendant, your role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the spa. You will be responsible for greeting and assisting guests, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, maintaining a clean and organized spa environment, and supporting the overall functioning of the spa.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)
Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests, making them feel comfortable and valued upon their arrival at the spa.
Efficiently manage the spa's appointment book, coordinating and scheduling services according to guest preferences and availability of staff members.
Respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding spa services, pricing, availability, and general information. Provide accurate and detailed information, making recommendations when appropriate.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their spa experience.
Process spa payments, manage cash registers, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions. Adhere to established procedures for handling cash, credit cards, and gift certificates.
Assist in maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-organized spa environment. This includes ensuring that treatment rooms, waiting areas, and common spaces are clean, stocked with supplies, and presentable at all times.
Familiarize yourself with the spa's products, services, and promotions to effectively communicate and recommend offerings to guests. Provide guidance and suggestions based on guest needs and preferences.
Actively promote and sell spa products, retail items, and additional services to enhance the guest's experience. Upsell treatments or upgrades when appropriate.
Collaborate with spa therapists, technicians, and other staff members to ensure seamless coordination of appointments, proper handovers, and excellent service delivery.
Assist with various administrative tasks, including filing documents, maintaining records, updating client profiles, and managing inventory.
Additionally, this role may involve performing other duties as requested by management to meet the ongoing needs of the resort.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional relevant certifications or training are a plus).
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a spa or wellness environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage appointments and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of spa treatments, products, and services.
- Proficiency in using computer software for appointment scheduling, cash handling, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
