We are accepting applications for a full time veterinary receptionist. Experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Our clinic strives to support the relationship between pet and owner, and to treat each patient as if they were our own. In doing so, our receptionists have a central role to play in our hospital… he or she is the first impression a client sees or hears; they are really the public face of our practice! The right candidate must maintain a warm and professional appearance and demeanor. Following appropriate training, he or she would become proficient in hospital protocols, and be able to answer basic questions that a client may have. The right candidate would be efficient and effective, would be good at multi-tasking, and be able to act as a liaison between our clients and doctors. By skillfully providing good client satisfaction, they would set a high standard of care, showing our clients what to expect in other dealings with our hospital. Our receptionists are responsible for timely and accurate documentation of communications, record keeping, and scheduling appointments. This requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills. As a brief overview, the position we are hiring for includes but are not limited to the following duties: Provide top-notch customer service Maintain a professional appearance (clothes and attitude) Being attentive to client and pet needs Working compassionately with clients in various emotional states Answering messages, phone calls and scheduling appointments Monitor client flow from check-in to discharge Understand vaccinations, basic lab tests, common diseases, and pet behavior Processing payments for services provided Maintaining proper documentation in the electronic medical record Keeping reception area neat and tidy Must be able to lift 25 pounds Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office is helpful Experience in a veterinary office environment is a huge plus Must have High School Diploma or GED or higher Work authorization: United States (Required)Work Location: Athens, GA Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan
