Overview:
This role is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems. Preferably, experience as an auto mechanic on cars and light trucks along with an ASE certificate. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles.
This will be a temporary position running 3-6 months.
Pay for this position will vary based on experience.
Automotive Technician duties and responsibilities
Automotive Technicians may have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Properly document the condition of a vehicle at the point of intake
- Ensure vehicle is safely and securely positioned on lift for diagnostics
- Perform all assigned points of inspection
- Faithfully report condition of vehicle parts
- Determine priority of repair
- Consult with the Service Manager to complete an estimate for the customer
- Maintain a personal complement of tools to be used to service vehicles
- Keep detailed logs of all parts, fluids and hours associated with each project

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in the automotive industry
- Automotive diagnostic
- Mechanic experience
- Automotive service
- Service technician experience
- Motor Vehicle Inspection License
- ASE certificate
Preferred Skills:
- Electrical diagnostics / repair
- Dealership experience
- Brake repair
Educations:
A high school diploma is required for this position
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to Relocate:
- Greenville, SC: Relocate before starting work (Required)
