The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for working closely with patients and providing the necessary support.
Maintains an orderly and therapeutic environment for patients.
Monitors patients regularly.
Shares observations regarding patient behaviors and other relevant information.
Seeks supervision and notifies the appropriate staff when unusual situations arise.
Performs search of patient belongings according to protocol and documents in the electronic health record.
Assists with the completion of required paperwork upon patient admission.
Orients newly admitted patients to Livengrin policies, expectations and daily schedule.
Performs patient rounds according to company policy and documents accordingly.
Performs room searches as required.
Conducts educational seminars and lectures to patient population in a professional and competent manner and documents in the electronic health record.
Monitors patient meetings and lectures.
Documents necessary information in the electronic health record.
Supports the clinical staff as needed.
Assists in the planning and implementation of patient activities.
Attends departmental meetings as requested.
Completes inventory of various items and restocks forms and handouts related to patient orientation and other programs.
Monitors and records refrigerator temperature in patient residences as required.
Ensures accuracy of departmental logs and files accordingly.
Handles patient admission in conjunction with nursing staff during overnight hours.
Monitors and manages security gate during overnight hours.
Performs other related duties as may be required or as assigned.
