Benthic is looking to add a qualified Asset Manager (PROD) to the team in Houston. The Asset Manager will be one of several PROD managers working within the Assets Group. They will be allocated to a specific PROD spread and their primary responsibility will be to manage that spread. Benthic assets such as Deck Mud Systems or Seabed CPT systems may be allocated to individual asset managers in addition to their primary PROD spread.
The primary role and responsibility of the Asset Manager (PROD) will be to manage the equipment so that operational readiness, equipment reliability, functionality and safety are maximized. This will require management of maintenance, spare part inventory control, engineering, certification, routine inspections, and document control.
Duties

Manage equipment maintenance periods. Plan and oversee maintenance activities. Ensure that the maintenance work that is carried out is of high quality and meets required standards

Maintain accurate and detailed records of equipment repairs, maintenance, and disposal

Manage the spares inventory and ensure resupply orders are made in a timely manner and orders are followed up.

Work with Operations to plan mobilizations and demobilizations. Ensure all equipment is operational ready and all mobilization equipment/parts is available to facilitate efficient and safe mobs/demobs

Ensure equipment is packed and stored using best practices to minimize damage, wear, deterioration during non-operational periods

Establish and maintain good communication with the offshore operations team so that equipment issues, maintenance and improvements can be assessed and/or resolved as effectively as possible

Monitor equipment performance and report on a regular basis, performance, highlight deficiencies and propose and implement remedial measures

Manage equipment certifications and calibration. Including but not limited to lifting points and equipment, safety equipment, container, electrical testing, hydraulic hose and hard piping

Manage equipment documentation, manuals, drawings, schematics, procedures to ensure currency, accuracy and to make improvements where necessary

When working in remote locations - source and establish communication with local vendors and service providers to facilitate efficient maintenance or engineering when needed

Request resources from other departments when needed, such as Engineering, Supply Chain,

Provide senior-level review of technical data, proposals and reports, and ensure that the equipment is capable to meet the commitments to clients

Participate in proposal preparation and presentation

Work closely with group members to foster teamwork at all levels of the company, assisting with the professional development of junior staff within the team

Keep abreast of activities with and status of other equipment with the aim to be able to stand in for colleagues if needed due to then being unavailable

Adhere to safety procedures and policies in accordance with the Safety Management System

Adhere to quality procedures and policies in accordance with the ISO9001 Quality Management System

Ensure the activities carried out comply with the respective Vessel or Facility HSE Standards and Safety Management Systems, and are covered by the Permit to Work system, where applicable

Keep the Global Assets Director informed on all matters relating to HSE and maintain reports on all related matters, reporting all accidents/incidents
Required

Minimum 5 years industry experience in related areas

Tertiary mechanical/electrical engineering qualification, desirable

Recognized qualification in Managing Safely, including but not limited to, Risk Management, Permit to Work, Lifting Operations, Work at Height, desirable

OPITO approved HUET / BOSIET offshore safety training, desirable

Demonstrated leadership qualities

Knowledge of PTW systems, marine operations, lifting equipment and accessories

Excellent communication skills, and able to work with colleagues at all levels of the assets and operations team

A high level of flexibility, successfully adapting to changing demands, requirements, and conditions

Ability to work in a highly pressurized and fast paced environment
