Description:
Position Overview: The Planning Manager is a key role within the operations team, responsible for overseeing and refining the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. This position will lead the scheduling activities, ensuring that production schedules are aligned with sales forecasts and operational capacities. The Planning Manager will have the Scheduling Coordinator as a direct report, providing guidance and direction to improve efficiency, accuracy, and forward planning capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic planning processes that align with the company's business goals and operational capabilities.

Oversee the Scheduling Coordinator, ensuring that the production schedules are optimized to meet sales forecasts and inventory requirements.

Analyze current S&OP processes and identify areas for improvement; implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated planning approach.

Lead the selection and implementation of planning and scheduling tools or software to automate manual processes and improve data accuracy.

Conduct regular review meetings with key stakeholders to discuss forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and production plans.

Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor process performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Engineering.

Proven experience for at least 3 years in a planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing or production environment, with a strong understanding of S&OP processes.

Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives and implement planning strategies effectively.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable plans.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.

Experience with planning software and ERP systems is highly desirable.
Must be able to lift up to 10lbs, sitting moderately and walking within the plant on less than 20% of day.
