Fire Sprinkler Technician
Role and Responsibilities
· The inspection and test of Fire Alarm/Sprinkler systems and their components to ensure proper functionality.
· Inspect and test Fire Alarm/Sprinkler systems and document any deficiencies.
· Ensure customers understand the functionality of their system.
· Ensure customers are service to the highest level of satisfaction through quality service and that the customer’ expectations are satisfied before leaving the job site.
· Perform troubleshooting, service, and minor repairs as necessary.
· Identify code and other non-conformance issues and make recommendations on repairs or preventative maintenance.
· Review inspection report with customer and provide a detailed explanation of inspection results.
· Complete and produce reports that are legible, accurate, and detailed.
· Stay current with code requirements and industry changes.
· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· NICET Certification a plus.
· A background in Fire Alarm Service, Inspections, and/or installation.
· CSA in sprinkler and alarm required.
· Strong knowledge of applicable NFPA standards
· Strong understanding of materials, tools equipment, and procedures used in the
installation process.
· Strong attention to details.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
· Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
· Able to travel to multiple sites each day.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools, or controls. This position requires mobility. Minimal physical exertion.
