Requirements
- Working knowledge of boundary, ALTA/ACSM, Topographic Surveys, and construction staking.
- High proficiency in use of GPS, Robotic Total Stations, leveling and electronic data collection.
- Proficiency in interpreting plans, and calculations prepared by office staff.
- Proficiency in performing field calculations as needed.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 products (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
- Ability to interpret legal descriptions, plats or other documents necessary to retrace boundary and determine control.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or the willingness to learn is desired.
- UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems), have or obtain Part 107 within 3 months.
- Must be a team player with the willingness to solve problems.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- 3+ years of experience using total station with data collector, levels, and GPS receivers
Responsibility
- Capable of directing, training, and supervising an operational two to three-person survey field crew.
- Direct all phases of work of a field survey crew in determining location and measurements of control points, elevations, lines, and areas to secure data used for construction, mapping, boundary delineation, or other purpose.
- Capable of Performing survey calculations by computing grades, vertical curves, horizontal curves, and deflection angles.
- Accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features with the use of data collectors, to include use of photos tagged to points.
- Operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
- Strong organizational skills including preparation of field notes. Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product.
- Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain company vehicles, including performance, preventative maintenance, and cleaning.
- Review and understanding of information, maps, data, photographs, records, etc. to complete items from the project scope and execute survey tasks with minimal
direction. • Participate in standards and procedures creation to include continuing education of survey related studies.
- Download and upkeep of field data collected in a timely manner, review and approve files.
- Ability to effectively recognize, troubleshoot, and resolve unforeseen complications independently and resolve any complex issues in the field.
- Communicate with internal and external project teams.
- Willing to work in all weather and site conditions.
- Willing to be flexible with schedules, understanding that some days may require longer hours to complete a project, and some days will be shorter due to weather or workload.
- Responsible for individual and crew time management to ensure on-time arrival at projects and completing jobs in the allotted time to avoid multiple trips to a site.
- Understand and follow company practices and processes to perform tasks on time and within budget.
- Responsibility to meet project task targets and for completing projects on time.

- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Noise levels vary from ambient outdoor levels to those requiring ear protection.
- Ability to perform physical labor (i.e., strenuous walking, lifting, and hauling equipment) frequently.
