The Plumber provides plumbing services to identify repair and/or replacement needs; installs, repairs, and/or upgrades of plumbing systems; ensures compliance with accessibility, health and safety codes; ensures completion of projects in accordance with trade standards; provides information on the proper uses of equipment; assists other skilled trades; and ensures tools and materials are available at job site.

Hours
- Monday through Friday
- Between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, depending on building/project assigned
Job Duties
- Analyzes blue prints, schematics, and drawings of plumbing systems to determine the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems, and coordinates with manager and other trades to complete projects and work orders.
- Diagnoses reason for problems /or failures in plumbing/irrigation systems for to identify repair or replacement needs, and estimates materials or equipment needed to complete work. Fabricates equipment parts to meet specialty needs or to replace unavailable parts.
- Relays information regarding status of work orders to assist with decision making and taking appropriate action while complying with safety regulations.
- Installs and repairs plumbing systems and fixtures (e.g. hot water heaters, drinking fountains, pumps, sinks, garbage disposals, grease traps, water softeners, etc.)
- Request or purchase equipment and supplies to ensure availability of items needed for projects.
- Maintains vehicle, tools and equipment in safe operating condition.
- Monitors buildings and facilities to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance.
- Updates internal documents on repair status, and maintains activity logs.
- Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Transports tools, equipment and supplies to job site
Requirements
- Job-related education or experience required, with a Missouri Plumbers license preferred.
- Ability to obtain Asbestos maintenance and operations training within 30 days of hire, with an annual refresher course required
- Class “E” Driver’s License, preferred, or willingness to obtain
- Must pass a pre-employment background check. (physical exam, and criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance)
