Summary
We are seeking a distinguished and highly experienced Associate Vice President of Strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) Advisory Services to join our team. In this strategic role, you will utilize your extensive expertise in IAM and superior relationship-building abilities to champion the adoption, successful implementation, and help drive continuous innovation of Fischer Identity’s IAM and IGA products and solutions. You will act as a visionary leader, a trusted advisor, and a key influencer, ensuring that our solutions align with the specific needs and objectives of our clients.
Duties
- Strategic Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership in the design, development, and deployment of state-of-the-art IAM and IGA programs and solutions for new and existing clients.
- Drive innovation by staying ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IAM, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of the industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, including product development and customer support, to ensure the successful delivery and continuous enhancement of solutions.
- Consultative Services and Strategic Advising:
- Development and management of IAM program management advisory services frameworks, including, but not limited to IAM business process alignment (BPA) assessments, strategic roadmap planning, organizational change management for new and prospective clients.
- Provide expert strategic guidance on the optimal setup and configuration of IAM and IGA programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and regulatory mandates.
- Work closely with the AVP of Technical Operations to develop comprehensive implementation plans and risk management strategies in alignment with rendered advisory service engagements.
- Engage with current clients to perform evaluations of current Fischer Identity deployed solutions to ensure business process alignment with IAM policies and procedures, while ensuring they are taking advantage of the latest Fischer product features.
- Oversee the delivery of training sessions and workshops to empower client teams with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage their IAM systems.
- Assist in overseeing and respond within the Fischer Identity community portal.
- Engage in assisting the workload in other technical departments (i.e., professional services, support) if a need arises.
- Executive Client Engagement and Relationship Building:
- Establish and nurture high-level relationships with key stakeholders within institutions, including IT directors, senior management, and C-suite executives.
- Lead comprehensive needs assessments and consultative engagements to understand client requirements and address their specific challenges.
- Product Evangelism and Thought Leadership:
- Champion the value proposition and capabilities of our IAM and IGA solutions through high-impact presentations, demonstrations, and strategic discussions.
- Represent Fischer at prestigious industry conferences, security conferences, webinars, and other platforms to promote our solutions and establish thought leadership.
- Provide and assist with content creation for social media posts, i.e. LinkedIn, which will help build the sales pipeline.
- Develop thought leadership pieces, case studies, and client success stories to highlight the value of our IAM solutions, which will help build the sales pipeline and move the sales process along.
- Engage with online communities and forums to promote our products and share industry insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in IAM, with significant experience in directing an IAM program, or equivalent IAM-related team. Experience with Fischer Identity’s IGA software and solutions is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex IAM and IGA solutions.
- Deep understanding of business processes, regulatory environments, and unique challenges in higher education institutions and other industries.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Extensive experience with leading IAM technologies and platforms.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Relevant IAM-related certifications (e.g., CIAM, IDPro) are highly desirable.
Physical Requirements: Position may require sitting at a desk or standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Special Requirements:
Strong Business Acumen – Must possess strong business acumen to understand the impact of identity IAM concepts based on technical and business processes and to advise customers on best practices for applying these concepts to meet business requirements.
Language/Social Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer requirements. The ability to consult customers on best practices on how to apply Identity concepts to business requirements.
Analytical Skills – Ability to process and analyze vague, abstract verbal and written instructions and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to read, analyze customer supplied drawings and complex documents, and communicate analysis in oral or written form.
Computer Skills – Must be proficient with Microsoft office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must have a comprehensive understanding of the Fischer Identity product suite and product capabilities. Automation experience with Active Directory, LDAP, Google Apps, MSSQL, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, batch processing via flat file. Automated event detection techniques and an understanding of the technical mechanics of application integration and APIs. Experience deploying or supporting enterprise Identity Management Solutions. Experience in security discipline. Experience with NIST, and other control frameworks. Experience with ETL technology. Expert in Java Script. Experience with Regular Expression.

Work Environment
In-Office (if located within the Southwest Florida area): Professional office setting, requiring daily on-site attendance. The office environment is professional and collaborative, with a focus on teamwork and direct communication. You will work closely with colleagues and management, benefiting from face-to-face interactions and immediate access to shared resources.
Remote (if located outside of the Southwest Florida area): Work from your home location, with reliable internet access. The position requires a high level of self-discipline and the ability to work independently, while maintaining effective communication with team members and clients through virtual collaboration tools. You will be expected to manage your own schedule to meet deadlines and attend virtual meetings across different time zones. A dedicated workspace free from distractions is essential to ensure productivity and focus.
Travel, Work Hours, Supervision
Travel Expectations: This role requires the ability to travel frequently, with an expectation of at least three trips per quarter based on client need and requirements and if remote, once quarterly to our corporate office in Naples, Florida. Candidates must be adaptable to varying travel schedules and capable of managing work responsibilities while on the road. The ability to travel on short notice is also essential.
Work Hours: This position requires a commitment to a full-time, 40-hour per week work schedule, encompassing our standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8a – 5p ET. However, flexibility is essential, as this role often demands extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet critical deadlines, attend meetings, and address urgent matters. The role may also require availability to accommodate different time zones for global operations. A proactive approach to managing time effectively and balancing workload is crucial to succeed in this demanding and dynamic role.
Supervision: This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities. However, you will be expected to lead by influence, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams and collaborating with colleagues at various levels. Your leadership will be demonstrated through effective project management, mentorship, and the ability to drive initiatives forward without direct oversight of staff.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: Full-time, salaried exempt.
